This piece is a lively report of what the author, Conor Friedersdorf, found when he talked to people in Boulder, Colorado about the legalization of marijuana. His account asserts that people in Boulder are generally pro-legalization. Almost everything Friedersdorf shares paints legalization as a relief and means of prosperity for those in Boulder. Thus, although he does not come out and say it, this article is quite pro-legalization and is asserting that legalization was a good thing. This author’s arguments show us that he values individual freedoms and economic prosperity over convention.
