Description: This is a digital research essay on Artificial Intelligence and the disadvantages and possible dangers to its creation. Some of these include:
- Creation of weapons to solely destroy humans
- The inability to program morals into the machine
- Job loss in some fields as a result of this technology
The project uses Atavist, a type of online software to create digital media projects, specifically those that are text-heavy.
Reflection: After reflecting on this project, I connected the idea that knowledge is happiness and power (Artifact #1) with society’s creation of Artificial Intelligence. Through the creation of AI, I can see that we want everything, even non-human objects to have intelligence. Furthermore, even though we know the risks involved in creating Artificial Intelligence, knowledge is so important to our society that we continue to risk the creation of possibly harmful and destructive technology to gain more of it.
