This section examines the role of the 104th “Timberwolf” Infantry Division during the Second World War. Starting in September of 1944, this unit history shadows John Stenger’s experiences in Europe. With the motto of “Nothing in hell must stop the Timberwolves,” their fight through the dragon teeth of the Siegfried Line to the banks of the Mulde supports such a claim.
