The Bridgewater College Math Center provides free math tutoring to all students at Bridgewater College. Its primary mission is to create a positive learning environment where students can strengthen their skills in mathematics. It provides students with the necessary help and resources to promote successful learning experiences at Bridgewater College and beyond.
The Bridgewater College Mathematics and Computer Science Department recognizes that each individual student will have strengths and weaknesses. It is our goal to help students strengthen their skills so that they will be successful in their mathematics courses.
Students will study and learn assisted by peer tutors, with support from their professors. Along with individual and small group tutoring for Math 110, Math 118, and Math 120, The Math Center will provide supplemental resources and strive to provide all students with opportunities to learn foundation concepts, receive help with math homework, prepare for upcoming quizzes and tests, support students preparing for the Elementary Math Praxis test, and help students gain confidence in their skills.
No appointment is necessary for those students needing help refreshing their high school skills. No appointment is necessary for those students enrolled in College Algebra, Quantitative Reasoning, or Precalculus.
For those students seeking help with other courses, an appointment is recommended.
