One of the biggest blessings in my life was being lead to be a Communication (no S) at Bridgewater College. All of the professors in the COMM department have been so patient, honest, helpful, and fun to be around. Thank you to Erickson, Michelle (Strano), Laliker, Babcock, Dewey, and Brophy for leading me in this season of life called College. I have not only learned so much about the field of communication, but also how to navigate this crazy world we live in. Thank you!!!
I also want to thank every student in the COMM department as well, especially the Class of 2020. You have also been instrumental to my growth in the department and at Bridgewater College. I know and believe that I have made lifelong friends at this school, and a lot of them are in this department. I pray that each one of you are able to hold onto what you are passionate about and go after it, no matter what comes your way. I know that in the midst of all the craziness of COVID-19 that we will all find jobs that will allow us use the gifts that we have strengthened at Bridgewater College to pursue the passions that are on our heart. Thank you and congratulations to all the seniors in the COMM department!!! You guys are awesome!
Have a great day and I will see you all later!

It’s been SO SATISFYING connecting with all of you this week to laugh and celebrate your accomplishments! I’m looking forward to the time when I can give each of you the BIG HUG you deserve, but in the meantime I’ll take this.
You’ve worked hard and you deserve to feel proud of yourselves. As I “said” in our farewell video, you’ve got this! I can’t wait for you to come back and tell me all about it 🙂
For now, a big virtual hug to you all!
Reading this made me so happy! You are one of the most genuine and loving teachers I’ve ever had. I can honestly say the lessons I learned from you in Gender, Race, and Class positively impacted my life. Thank you for everything!!
Thank you to all of the faculty, staff and administration at Bridgewater for supporting students in their learning and making great memories.

I want to share two quotes:
Look at everything as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time. Then your time on earth will be filled with glory. – Betty Smith, American writer, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
It is difficult to live in the present, ridiculous to live in the future and impossible to live in the past. Nothing is as far away as one minute ago. – Jim Bishop (1907-1987), American journalist
What they have to do with is this moment — capture it, live it, even if it is different than expected.
I miss you all and am looking forward to seeing you at next week’s Zoom sessions! I’m REALLY hoping to see you in person in the near future. 🙂
