My Why

Books have always been a big part of my life; from my parents reading to me when I was young, to reading books, both required for college and not required. My desire to read was instilled in me at a very young age by my grandmother and my parents. I believe this is one of the reasons I love to read and became an English Teacher. I want to help make reading fun and interesting for others. Sometimes books are viewed as “required” and students don’t get enjoyment from them as they might from a book about something that interests them. I plan to have a reading library available in my classroom of books that I have read and enjoy for my students to share.
